Senior Designer, architectural design
Looking for excellent designers that are innovative, that have strong conceptualization abilities and are experienced in all phases and functions of a project. Must be self sufficient but willing to collaborate. Must be willing to lead the design and be the creative driver of the project team.
Candidates must be: interesting, unique, innovative, collaborative and must be very open minded in their approach to design!
The hiring will be on a trial basis – project by project with the opportunity to join the firm on a regular employment basis if design abilities and approach are a good fit for the firm. Currently we are seeking an Architect / Senior Construction Manager who possess experience in Educational K-12 projects, a degree in architecture or engineering from an accredited college or university and 8+ years of senior construction-administration experience. Previous experience in the coordination of consulting engineers, obtaining agency approvals and working with contractors is desirable.
The Architect / Senior Construction Manager will be responsible for daily on site interaction with the contractors, architect and client and review work in place for conformance with the construction documents. Knowledge of the Scheduling and Costing process is desired. Knowledge of Field Construction Procedures including reviewing contractor’s submittals and shop drawings, maintaining records of submittals, preparing change orders, maintaining records of the Contractor’s Applications for Payment and preparing monthly reports is desired.

- Experience of large scale Healthcare buildings (PFI preferably) with a project value over £100m.
- Interior fit-out design development and detailing experience.
- Preparation of Design and Build work packages for tender and construction.

- Working closely with in-house medical planning team (1:50 clinical plans and C-sheets).
- Sound knowledge of HTM’s, HBN’s, British Standards and working to/applying NBS specifications.
- On-site construction phase experience.
- Advanced AutoCAD.
- MS Office (Excel spreadsheets and MS word).
- Good communicator with client liaison experience.
- Drivers licence (preferable).
