We are a small (seven) firm of architects who specialize in building exteriors. For the past twenty-five years, we have designed and assisted other architects in their design of roofing, skylights, walls of every sort, windows, curtain walls, plazas and foundation waterproofing. We focus on issues such as: water control, insulation, condensation formation, thermally-induced movements, material compatibility, durability, construction sequencing and efficiencies, and construction costs. We also perform forensic investigations – analyzing why components of existing buildings have failed – and produce remedial solutions.
We offer 11 days of paid vacation each year, a health care plan, and have ten paid holidays as well. After five years of employment, three weeks vacation is the rule. There is also a 401k plan.
We are looking for young architecture professionals with an interest in building technology and construction to assume (and grow into) technical responsibility for projects of various sizes and complexity. To succeed here you must possess good speaking and writing skills as well as three-dimensional vision and architectural technical knowledge. And you must be able/willing to learn.
