Projects under construction and recently completed include: libraries, museums, performing arts centers, cultural centers, campus master plans, residential and mixed-use developments in such diverse places as Singapore, China, India, Bangladesh, Jerusalem, Toronto, Washington DC, Philadelphia, Missouri, and Arkansas.
Design Architects work directly with Moshe Safdie and the firmís Principals to develop design concepts and architectural ideas and are responsible for organizing and coordinating the design efforts of all members of the design team. They must be able to effectively supervise and lead teams of junior architects, have demonstrated experience developing and maintaining communication between architects and consultants and a strong knowledge of the design and detailing of complex projects. Design Architects will oversee the project from design through completion, functioning as a design advocate, ensuring that assigned projects achieve goals related to project quality and process.
In addition to an aptitude for design and superior problem-solving, candidates must be highly motivated, have the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment, and possess a willingness to assume both project-wide and office-related responsibility.
